The Brunswick Group has developed a number of template agreements for use between two universities or similar not-for-profit organisations.
The aim is to remove the need to spend time on drafting and negotiation in the majority of cases, and to treat each other in a mutually respectful manner (i.e. “do unto others as you would have do unto you”).
These agreements are placed in the public domain to be used freely and adapted as necessary. For each of the agreements, there is a list of institutions who have indicated their willingness (no obligation) to use the templates.
The current agreements are: Material Transfer, Research Collaboration and Studenship.
The Brunswick Group template agreements are made available by PraxisUnico, which is an educational not-for-profit organisation set up to support innovation and commercialisation of public sector and charity research for social and economic impact.
This best practice was collected within the project ENTENTE (HEALTH-F1- 2012-305128 ) which was supported by the European Commission. ASTP-Proton was partner on this project.
