It is a pleasure to announce that ASTP has signed a MoU with Joint Research Centre (JRC), the policy research lab of the European Commission. This is a in line with our strategy and determination to be relevant and ambitious on behalf of our profession, community, and members.
It vitally important for our profession to have a strong organisation in ASTP which will strengthen our profession through collaboration with relevant actors in Europe and across the world. In the role of competence centre for Technology Transfer of the EU Commission, JRC will be a key contact point and collaboration partner for ASTP.
The signing of the MoU took place during the inauguration of JRC’s competence centre for Technology Transfer. The day in December 2018, was a dynamic mix of discussions in which ASTP enriched discussions on subjects around Tech Transfer Capacity Building, Financial Instruments, and Innovation Ecosystems. All relevant and interesting discussions for our community.
This meeting, also gave us ample opportunity to ascertain the visibility for our profession and to strengthen the message that we are a mature profession, enabled by professional organisation representing an engaged and vibrant community.
